Last summer was a bummer but we’re back to the fun in 2021! A visit to Water World is all about creating summer’s best memories. We’re bringing back all of the fun (and some NEW fun too) but some aspects of your visit this summer will look a bit different. The following will answer questions you may have and highlight changes to your park visit.
General Information
- For everyone’s safety, guests are responsible for observing posted guidelines and state & local requirements at all times during their visit. We need your help to bring back the fun!
- Mask use is strongly encouraged. Guests are NOT permitted to wear masks while in the water or participating on attractions. If you wish to wear a mask between attractions, you are encouraged to bring a Ziploc bag for mask storage. We also sell wearable mask holders and waterproof phone cases to store your mask.
- Guests, ages 10 and above will be required to wear a mask during the following aspects of their visit with us:
- During park arrival and exit.
- Any time you are indoors which includes visiting restrooms, merchandise locations or when purchasing or picking up food.
- Anytime you cannot maintain 6 feet from those outside your arrival group.
- Park attendance will be reduced and managed through pre-visit ticketing and reservations (see ticketing and Splash Pass sections).
- Guests will be encouraged to practice social distancing from those not in their arrival group and in all aspects of their visit with us. Social distancing markers will aid in guidance of proper distances throughout all guest experiences. You’ll find one-way walkway traffic and other measures in select areas of the park.
- Guests will be asked not to visit if displaying any potential symptoms of COVID-19 or having been exposed to someone who has in the previous 14 days. Guests will answer screening questions prior to park entry and reminded prior to their visit.
- To assist with enhanced distancing, picnic tables and lounge seating may be reduced, set in predetermined and distanced pods or available in alternative locations. Please do not move furniture. We still offer plenty of grassy areas to camp out for the day as well! On the green turf areas (around pools and other attractions), all guests must be seated on furniture.
- Comprehensive daily health screenings of our team members upon arrival to work. Team members will receive ongoing education for providing safe guest service and will be provided personal protective equipment.
- Enhanced health and safety protocols and reminders of healthy habits will be present throughout all our team operations and guest-facing services.
- Please visit our hours page for operating schedule and updated raincheck information.
Ticketing, Arrival & Visit Upgrades
- Ticketing & Reservation Requests:
- Any ticket with an expiration date in 2020 has been automatically extended for use in the 2021 season.
- As always, our best values are available only when you pick your visit day and purchase online. For 2021, guests must purchase their tickets and select a visit date and scheduled arrival window in advance online. A very limited number of tickets will be available daily for purchase at the park ticket windows (walk-up pricing applies).
- Splash Passes do not require a reservation-see the “Splash Pass” section below.
- Guests with tickets which are not visit date specific (an “any day” ticket) will be required to submit a reservation request for their desired date of visit (beginning April 14). Examples include any complimentary ticket, rainchecks, Bring-a-Friend and will-call tickets.
- Park Arrival:
- While we continue to welcome guest provided food and beverage (no glass containers or alcoholic beverages permitted), cooler sizes will be limited to a maximum of 30 Quarts in size, one (1) per guest, to help provide expedited, distanced and guest assisted screening. Guests with coolers larger than this size or excessive numbers of coolers will be asked to return them to their vehicles. Guests may bring in pre-filled water bottles which contain water.
- Visit Upgrades (available beginning April 21st) :
- Our Unlimited Use Locker system will now automatically assist in distancing guests during locker check-in. Additionally, automated tools will assist our Clean Team with enhanced cleaning & tracking.
- Cabanas and Birthday Shaka Shacks will have temporary capacity changes. Adjoining cabanas will not be available in most locations. Patios, in many locations, feature new privacy screening.
- Please see our Visit Upgrade pages for complete information.
Attractions
- Single rider lines or introduction of single riders into an attraction tube will not be available.
- Attraction queuing will be socially distanced and for some have alternative sidewalk access.
- Some attractions may have reduced capacity or altered operations.
- Some attractions may temporarily be delayed for enhanced cleaning activities. Attraction vehicles and tubes will have enhanced cleaning daily.
- Our lifeguard team will be trained, as part of Ellis and Associates certification, with the most up to date standards for enhanced safety during water assistance or first aid interactions.
Our Operational Plan
- Our team has developed a comprehensive operational plan, addressing all aspects of our operations to assure good, safe, clean and stress free fun for our guests in 2021! Our plan is compiled using guidance and best practices from throughout our industry as well as the CDC, Local and State Health Officials, World Waterpark Association, International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions and Ellis & Associates.
- Our plan was given official approval from both Tri-County Health Department and Adams County.
Food Service
- Touchless payment options have and will continue to be available throughout the park.
- Mobile Ordering options will be available at most food service locations. From your phone, order your food in advance and pick-up at an express location.
- Some food and beverage items may be temporarily unavailable.
- Enhanced and frequent cleaning of kitchen and food service locations.
- Refillable soda products may be refilled via a new paper cup on each refill, which can then be poured by the guest into their souvenir bottle.
- Wrapped silverware and utensils will be made available.
- Temporary changes to queuing, ordering methods and food delivery at many food locations.
Providing Good Clean Fun!
- Enhanced cleaning protocols will be in place throughout the park and in all aspects of our operations including all guest areas & services, restrooms, attractions, arrivals, team member locations and more. Our “Clean Team” will assure that we are not missing a beat with our cleaning efforts.
- Hand Sanitizer will be available throughout the park, including at all attractions, food stands, first aids, visit upgrade locations and more. Guest use will be strongly encouraged.
- We will continue to maintain our commitment and focus on providing outstanding attraction water standards and practices, including the added benefit of secondary disinfection systems in many of our attractions.
- Lounge Chairs will be disinfected daily. Picnic tables will have enhanced and ongoing cleaning.
Splash Passes
- We’ve worked hard to balance guest feedback regarding Splash Pass access for the 2021 season and COVID operational considerations. Here’s our plan, which may be adjusted as needed.
- Splash Pass quantities sold will be reduced and may sell out.
- Reservations are not currently required for Splash Pass Guests, however, there is a daily capacity of Splash Pass admissions (as a part of our overall park capacity).
- This number is based on a typical number of daily Splash Pass admissions with typical sales (which are reduced this season). We anticipate being able to accommodate most guests in typical conditions.
- After Splash Pass capacity is reached, and if the park is at overall capacity, you’ll be asked to please visit another day. If our Splash Pass capacities are full, they will be updated as other Splash Pass guests leave later in the day, allowing for additional entries. Our website will reflect daily Splash Pass capacity status.
- A limited number of Splash Pass pre-reservations requests are available per day. The number of reservations requested per pass will be limited and information on how to request will be available soon.
- Splash Pass guests, including those with Early Entry privileges will utilize a separate temporary park entrance (not the park main entry). Please check back for updated information! Entry queuing will open 15 minutes before scheduled Early Entry or Main Park opening times. Please remain in your vehicle prior to this time and follow social distancing markers when it’s time to enter!
- Free Splash Pass Bring a Friend tickets require a park reservation for the desired date of visit (available beginning April 14th). With this reservation, Bring a Friend Guests may enter with the passholder at the temporary Splash Pass Entry Gate. A Splash Pass holder from the transaction which is linked to the ticket must be present when Bring a Friend Tickets are redeemed.
- Turnstile biometric confirmation will be temporarily deactivated for Splash Pass entry (a photo ID for each guest ages 16+ will be required at entry).
- For guests that purchased Splash Passes prior to May 1, 2020, thank you! Your Splash Pass bands will be automatically loaded with $10 (Value Pass), $20 Preferred Pass or $30 (Elite Pass) in Splash Cash funds to spend in the park! Also, watch for an invitation to a thank you event this summer.
- Splash Passes are only available online (onsite purchase and pickup are temporarily unavailable). Please place your order with enough time prior to your planned park visit. For guests who purchased prior to May 1, 2019 (and have either paid or up to date FlexPay payment), and selected “Pick Up at Park” delivery, your 2021 passes will be mailed beginning April 14th.
